Support Brighton's annual Whoopee Days with a business sponsorship
Brighton was once a booming town where railroads converged and filled with hotels and businesses smack dab between St. Louis and St. Paul. Today, the town located in Washington County, Iowa, has 684 residents, several small businesses and serves as home of Lake Darling.
Brighton is a small, quiet community that offers what is best about small town Iowa -- friendly neighbors, quiet evenings, tractors coming through town with loads of grain. Once a year, the residents of Brighton celebrate all that is positive about their community with the annual Whoopee Days Celebration.
In its 105th year, Whoopee Days is now celebrated during the third weekend of June with a parade, mud run, carnival, talent show, alumni tea and more. To help maintain the celebration and keep the history alive in the community, organizers of the event are looking for business sponsors to help fund new family-friendly activities like a free magic show for all ages, an evening community concert, a fire department open house and more.
Your financial support of Whoopee Days will provide you a logo and link on the web site and on facebook, acknowledgement in advertisement and press releases, along with logos on our large posters to be hung up in locations throughout Washington and surrounding counties to help promote the celebration.
The 2015 Whoopee Days Celebration is going to be a historic one where the citizens have input, organizers are working with many area groups to include them in the fun and a family-friendly atmosphere is central to the three day celebration!
